From the Principal’s Office
Ahhh, the holidays are upon us, as we are all well aware this time of year becomes very busy! Throughout this holiday season we hope that everyone can embrace the importance of the holiday and remember to slow down and spend quality time with family and friends.
All of the classes had a great time mixing their share snack. What a great lesson it is to share your favorite snack with your friends. The making and baking of the pumpkin pies was also a big hit. Everyone had a great time measuring and mixing the needed ingredients to make a delicious pie. Thank you to all of our gracious parents for bringing these items in. We could not do it without you!
Our Holiday Open House will be on Thursday, December 15th from 6:15-7:30. Please join us for a festive evening to see all the wonderful things your children have been learning. Santa will be at the KIDS’ Campus. This evening is an excellent chance to talk with your child’s teachers, visit with other families and see the projects the children have been working on!
Parent Sign In/Out Sheets
Please remember to sign your child in and out each day on the sign-up sheet posted outside the classroom. These records are a licensing requirement by the state of Ohio.
Holiday Closure and Attendance
As a reminder, our school will be closed on December 26th and January 2nd. We will be posting attendance sign-up sheets for the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s. Please be sure to fill them out as accurately as you can. If your child will be absent on days other than those reflected on the sign-up sheets, please mark them absent in Links 2 Home. We would like to give our teachers extra time off over the holidays, if possible. Please complete your child’s section of the forms by Tuesday, December 13th.
We will be partnering with WARM and collecting donations to help ensure that all children are warm this winter. They are in need of new or gently used winter coats, new hats, new scarves, and new mittens. Sizes may be for children ages 1-18 years. We will place a box in the lobby for donations. Please have all donation in by December 16th at 9:00 am. We will also be collecting canned goods for the food pantry at the Holiday Celebration, which is December 15th from 6:15 pm – 7:30 pm. Then, on December 16th our pre-kindergarten class will join the KIDS campus pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students on a field trip to WARM to deliver all of our collected donations.
