From the Principal’s Office
Summer is in full swing! I hope your summer is going well so far and that you have fun and exciting things to look forward to.
Links to Home Communications
I want to make sure that everyone is aware that not only do you receive fantastic photos and daily sheets through our Links to Home communication system, but you will also receive important emails from the office as well as reminders and notes from the teachers. This has become our main communication source so please be sure to read over the daily sheets for important reminders from the teachers and check regularly for emails from the office.
Check it out!
Your children may have told you about, or you may have noticed yourselves, some of the new items we recently purchased for our school! From playground bikes and balls to classroom science materials and puzzles we were able to purchase some great new items for all of our classrooms. This was in part due to all of our great sales we had throughout the school year, so thank you to everyone who participated!
Water Play Days!
Monday – Beginner
Tuesday – Toddler Two
Wednesday – Intermediate One
Thursday – Pre-K One (Miss Cindy and Miss Jamie’s class)
Friday – Pre-K Two (Miss Phyllis’ Class)
When it is your child’s designated Water Play Day please bring them to school dressed in their swimwear. All children need to have water shoes in order to participate in Water Play Day. Be sure to apply sunscreen at home before coming to school on Water Play Days. Also, please send a change of clothes and a towel in a water resistant bag so that at the completion of water play we can get your child in dry clothes and place the wet ones in the bag. If the weather is not cooperating on your child’s water play day still send them in their swimwear, we will try to go out if the weather breaks and if it doesn’t then we will have a beach party in the classroom! This is one of our favorite summer time activities! I’m sure that everyone will have a wonderful time playing in the water!
Please keep in mind that the safest shoes for children to wear at school are tennis shoes. Sandals, open-toe and slick-soled shoes may not be worn to school. This policy is stated in our Parent Handbook under the Personal Belongings/Clothing section. Please do not allow children to wear flip-flops or open-toed sandals to school. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but our main objective is to protect the children.
* Don’t forget to check your child’s cubby each day for important information from their teachers and the office.
* Please make sure that you are signing your child in every morning and out every evening. Thank you for your consistency with signing the book!
* Parking Lot Safety – Remember to drive slowly and cautiously through our parking lots. There are several small children and their families in the parking lot throughout the day and we want to be sure that everyone is safe! In addition, please so not leave children in the car unattended. It is also important that you do not leave your car running while in our school.
* Tuition Due – Tuition will be due on July 5th and July 18th. Please make sure that your account is current with the tuition cycle. There will be a $25 late fee assessed to all payments made after Tuesday at noon on the week that tuition is due. If you are interested in our automatic withdrawal program please stop by the office to pick up an authorization form.
